Kunjungan Monash University ke Car Free Day Jakarta 6 Juli 2014
JAKARTA, 6 July 2014, Infocarfreeday.net - Car Free Day Jakarta was proudly having the visit from Monash University Melbourne Australia.
Here following interview reports of Infocarfreeday Journalist to Sarah Monash University:
Q: Kindly describe the main purpose of Monash University visiting Car Free Day Jakarta
A: We were on a sustainability-themed study tour to Jakarta and Yogyakarta. The organisations and places visited tried to touch on all elements of sustainability from environmental to social to economic. We visited Car Free Day to learn more about the issues of environment and transportation in Jakarta. It was great to see local people enjoying the empty street by cycling and rollerblading.
Q: Please tell us the condition of Car Free Day Melbourne
A: Melbourne celebrates Car Free Day only once per year. People are encouraged to cycle or take public transportation to work that day. It is difficult to notice a difference on that day as people still drive to work. The effort is much more noticeable in Jakarta.
Q: Which part you find interest part of Car Free Day Jakarta
A: I noticed there was Organic Traditional Market near Sarinah Shopping Centre which was really good. Maybe get more involved in social media.
